Bring the family to a Native Field Day of age-old sports and games, like lacrosse, throwing the atlatl, shinny and archery. Everyone is invited to play tug of war, too! Free with Museum admission, free to Museum members.

Evaluating Children’s Materials on Native Americans

Do you want to find the best books, CDs, videos and web sites about Native peoples? Making good choices for your library, classroom, or for yourself is easy after this workshop. Educators can earn .5 CEUs. $35 per person, $30 for Museum members. Call (860) 396-6839 to register.

Family Archaeology Adventures

Members’ Children Games Competition

Members Only. Let the games begin as Museum members’ children or grandchildren try their hand at traditional Native American sports. The winner of the overall competition receives a certificate and a prize; second and third place finishers receive certificates. Lunch is provided. $10 per person.
