Mission

The Northeast Native Museum Alliance in conjunction with the IMLS National Leadership Grant for Museums has created a partnership among Northeastern native museums and cultural centers to share knowledge and resources to promote capacity building and “museums in the community”. This partnership will organize activities including workshops, annual training conferences, tribal member internships and an internet-based communication and support system. The project anticipates modeling to show both native and non-native institutions how large and small museums can work together toward common goals.
