Native American Internship Program at Cornell University

The Native American Internship Program at Cornell University Library is a comprehensive program that focuses on the management of library materials and sound conservation. Utilizing a “train the trainer” model, the Cornell staff will provide mentorship to indigenous organizations and institutions by offering services on developing and preserving library resources, designing studies that contribute to the creation and implementation of library collections system, and preparing grant proposals to improve and maintain an American library and archives collection. The program will be responsive to the training needs of librarians, archivists, and technicians on topics related to book repair, rebinding, enclosure construction, preservation of art and photographs, reformatting techniques, survey assessments, and program development consultation.
