Strawberry Thanksgiving
Description: Join us Saturday, June 17, as we celebrate the Strawberry Thanksgiving at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center. Enjoy fresh, strawberry cakes and drinks as you are welcomed with a live performance from the Yootay Singers and Dancers from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Join us as we hear stories about relationships, forgiveness and growth, compete in Native games and host fun activities for the whole family.

Education Powwow
Description:
The Pequot Museum’s Educational Powwow is a narrated exhibition showcasing Native American dancers and the significance of this cultural gathering for Indigenous people. Gain a greater understanding and appreciation for the powwow experience and how it helps sustain a sense of community for America’s first people. Join us for this educational, but interactive event!

As we prepare to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center (MPMRC) on August 11, 2023, we are grateful for the opportunity to share the numerous remarkable achievements that we are so very proud of. We are truly blessed to have provided world class educational programs and activities for all ages. This was only possible through the collaboration with numerous nations, institutions and individuals throughout Indian Country and beyond.

Honoring the Veterans Powwow
Description: Join us in honoring and thanking this country’s greatest heroes!
The Honoring the Veterans Powwow unites and honors Native and non-Native Americans who have bravely served side by side in the U.S. Armed Forces for more than 200 years. Drawing nearly 1,000 veterans, active-duty service members, families and members each year, attendees will be immersed in breathtaking performances, dazzling regalia and traditional music as 100 dancers and drummers compete inside the soaring, two-story, glass-encased Gathering Space
