“Embark on a Cultural Adventure!” – Scavenger Hunt –  

Grab your Cultural Explorer Guide and set off on an exciting scavenger hunt! Journey through our current exhibitions and the Pequot Village as you search for hidden treasures, answer intriguing questions, and uncover fascinating aspects of Pequot culture. Dive into the fun while connecting with traditional life ways in a whole new way.

“Experience Tradition in Action on the Farmstead”

Muhshooy Burn on the Farmstead Witness as Nuchukahsumun numuhshooyun, an awe-inspiring experience showcasing the burning of one of our dugout canoes at the Pequot Museum farmstead. This fascinating process blends craftsmanship and cultural significance, offering a rare glimpse into the traditional practices of Pequot heritage. Come and be part of this powerful connection to history, ingenuity, and community.

Native Symbol Tattoo Station

Spring Out the Artist in You!

Celebrate creativity and cultural design at the Native Symbol Tattoo Station! Open to all ages, this hands-on experience invites participants to explore the meaning and beauty of Native-inspired symbols through art. Using temporary tattoo materials, guests will design and create their own symbolic artwork or skin-safe temporary tattoos.

Education Powwow Station

Come experience the Powwow Station as we highlight song, dance, art, and joy of powwow! Learn the history and evolution of the modern-day powwow. Participants will gain an understanding of the cultural

importance of these sacred gatherings, while also learning proper etiquette for attendance.           

Sphero Robot Adventure – Wondr Smart Lab Station

Roll into a world of creativity, culture, and innovation with our STEM Sphero Robot Adventure! Perfect for kids of all ages, this hands-on activity blends fun and learning as participants explore the world of robotics while learning the Pequot language!

Guide your Sphero robot through interactive challenges, navigate a maze course, experiment with movement and speed, and watch your code come to life in real time!

Seeqan Ahqeesh! Bingo- Auditorium Lobby

Get ready for an exciting fusion of fun and learning with Ahqeesh! Bingo. Dive into the Pequot Language as you play this lively game, connecting words to their meanings while enjoying a spirited bingo experience. Perfect for all ages, this is a wonderful way to engage in Pequot culture, one word at a time. Bring your enthusiasm and a dash of luck—bingo has never been this meaningful!

Traditional games are a staple of Southern New England Algonquian lifestyles. Gaming is played for more than just enjoyment.  Stop by and learn about the various native games & sports.
