Witness to a Genoicide: Special Edition w/ the Executive Director

This day we celebrate the survival of the Pequot people on this day 385 years after their attempted genocide. Join us on Thursday, May 26 at 4pm for a special edition of our program Witness to a Genocide.: The program will feature a viewing of the 30 minute film titled “The Witness” followed by a Q&A session with  Pequot Museum Executive Director, Joshua Carter and a panel of Pequots who will take a detailed look at the 1637 massacre of the Pequot village in Mystic and the attempted genocide of the Pequot people. Considering the Pequot War was the first war between the original inhabitants of Turtle Island and the English, this is an opportunity to look back and have a dialogue about the very real, very important history of this nation that would eventually become the United States of America.
