Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center Announces Reopening of Newly Refreshed and Enhanced Museum Store

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center is excited to announce the grand reopening of its newly refreshed and enhanced Museum Store.
After a series of thoughtful renovations and upgrades, the Museum Store has been transformed into a more modern, welcoming, and accessible space. Guests will immediately notice the updated atmosphere, made possible by a new drop ceiling, enhanced lighting, and an improved sound system, all designed to create a brighter and more engaging environment.

The store’s layout has been completely reimagined. Fresh carpeting and the removal of interior walls and outdated fixtures have opened up the space, providing a clean, open-concept design that improves navigation and sightlines.

The newly redesigned jewelry area showcases an expanded collection of pieces with improved display cases that highlight craftsmanship and detail. A larger, dedicated showcase area now celebrates the work of local Native artisans.

The store now also offers an expanded range of kid-friendly items. Families will find a greater selection of educational books, toys, and interactive activities that engage young minds and reflect Native cultures and histories.

“We’re proud to reopen the Museum Store with a refreshed look and renewed focus on community, education, and access,” said Joshua Carter, Director of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. “Every aspect of the redesign reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional and culturally meaningful experience for all who walk through our doors.”

The newly reopened Museum Store is open Wednesday – Saturday 10am – 5pm. Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind handcrafted item, a thoughtful gift, or a fun and educational souvenir for the whole family, the new store has something for everyone.
