Pequot Museum to Host Exploration of Eastern Woodland Tattoos by Red Rock Designs

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center is proud to present an immersive and educational experience exploring the rich history and enduring legacy of Eastern Woodland tattoos.

Traditional tattoo artist Miciah Stasis (Herring Pond Wampanoag) will share insights into the ancient tattooing techniques used by Eastern Woodland tribes. Guests will learn about the deep cultural significance of tattoo designs, the traditional materials and methods used by Indigenous communities, and the symbolic meanings behind various patterns.
